I would do the exact same thing as you're doing; scouring the web for inspiration. How do we get inspired to do this? I also use RSS feeds as well SmashingMagazine.com.

I try and not to do the same thing as previously; even with fonts, colour schemes (at times) and photoshop filters/tuts. What I usually do is just put on music, ala Pink Floyd. Pink Floyd is so out there; but I really get inspired by Pink Floyd; and I try to think outside the box.

Granted; we will end up with designs that we aren't completely happy with it but if the client happens to like it but you don't like it? What can you do about it?

I would suggest that should get some new music (perhaps the music that you listen to now; isn't inspiring you anymore. I find it helpful when trying to find new music to listen to while designing.) Before going back to the College; you should attend some local sketching/hand drawing classes to see where you are at. If you're pretty comfortable doing what you're doing; then go back to College for the art classes.

Every once in a while, design will take a break. It happens to all of us. We could come up with a hundred designs a day; to merely one design in a month.

Also, visiting the local art gallery would be helpful as well.
