1. Assistant or Associate Researcher, Position Number: 0088474, 0088665

Other Conditions:

? This joint appointment position is .50 FTE HIGP (position number 88474) and .50 FTE WRRC (position number 88665) with the locus of tenure in HIGP. This is an eleven-month appointment with minimum nine-month equivalent (.82 FTE) funds provided. The selectee is expected to fund the remainder of her/his salary through external funds. In the first five years funding at 1.0 FTE is provided as part of UH NSF-EPSCOR, ‘Ike Wai project. Position is expected to begin approximately January, 2017 or as mutually acceptable, subject to position clearance.

Minimum Qualifications

? Earned doctorate in geophysics or closely related discipline received no later than January 2016.

? A record of peer-reviewed publications. Ability to take the lead in generating professional reports. For appointment at Associate level, a proven record of extramural funding; for appointment at Assistant level, demonstrable potential to obtain such funding.

? Organizational skills which can be applied to coordinate and conduct research to identify, characterize, and quantify water-related problems

? Skills and experience in collaborating with indigenous communities/organizations or local, state, or national agencies.

? Demonstrated ability to collect geophysical data in the field.

2. Graduate Research Assistant

Funding is available to support a PhD student or MS student for two years at Portland State University to work on inverse models for mantle viscosity structure and forward models of mantle convection. Our work is supported by the NSF, and the research will be carried out collaboratively with colleagues from the University of Maryland. 3. Faculty Position in Mechanical Engineering

4. Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Geomicrobiology

9. Cornell Geochemistry Faculty Position

Cornell University’s Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (EAS) seeks to fill a tenure track faculty position in the general area of geochemistry, with an emphasis on magmatic and/or metamorphic processes.
